Description of Work: We used American Leak Detection - Central Florida to fix a leak in the pool few weeks ago.
Member Comments: They did a fantastic job. They were very professional. They charged us $360 just to come out and then they charged more to find the leak and fix it. We really liked the two guys that came to do the work. My husband wanted to write to them a nice letter about the guys that came. We were very impressed with them. We go what we wanted. The first time they came they took a while to find the leak. My husband had made a note of how much amount of water we were losing and that gave them more information. They fixed the leak after that. I see them quite a lot in my neighborhood. I rate them high overall.

Description of Work: Locate under slab leak. Jackhammer open floor. Expose leak. Apply temporary repair to leak until our plumber could perform the permanent fix
Member Comments: Mike (the technician) arrived Saturday morning, as promised. He was professional, and quickly located the leak under the slab in one of our bedrooms. He explained everything to us in plain english. He gave us reasonable options, and did what we asked. He even assisted in moving the dryer out of the way for the jackhammering. He was very conscientious, taking care not to make a big mess, and he did a great job of cleaning up after himself. He was very respectful of us and our belongings. We did end up having to put in a second hole in the slab because the leak was almost under a wall, and it was not easy to get to. Mike filled the first hole back up for us, since the second one gave easier access to the pipes. (We asked him to try going in through the laundry room in the hope the pipe could be reached. We wanted this instead of ripping moving everything out of the bedroom and ripping up the carpet. Unfortunately, the leak was just better accessed from that bedroom. This was in no way a reflection on Mike, he told us where the leak was, and he was exactly right, he told us the options, and he did what we asked.)
He applied the temporary repair, as promised. He cleaned everything up. The bill was exactly as promised. Overall, American Leak Detection came the day after we called, and arrived on a Saturday morning, and took care of our leak until our plumber could come that next week. We were very pleased with the service and would call them again if needed (but we sure hope we don't need to). We highly recommend them.
Be aware that this company is very respectful of the local plumbers. They specialized in the temporary fix, and prefer to have you let your regular plumber do the final repair. It might not seem to make sense, but they are very mindful and respectful of the local plumbers and are not trying to muscle in on their turf. If you use American Leak Detection, keep this in mind.
