Outstanding Customer Service

Friday, June 26th, 2009

Erick and Andy, excellent job on your customer service and follow up, along with the department.

My hat’s off to all of you for the great customer service that we continue to see by all of you. I know that we continue to talk about customer service during roll call and may seem redundant, but statements by our customers show just how important this is in running a business, especially in times like these.  This allows ALD to stand out above other plumbing and related service type businesses and helps continue our growth along with who we are and the types of services we can provide.

Again, thanks for your efforts and outstanding service.

ePipe job saves homeowner from destructive repair to water pipe

Saturday, June 20th, 2009

A local homeowner chose to have American Leak Detection use their new ePipe method of epoxy coating single plumbing lines to repair a leak in a copper hot water line that was located under a shower.  The alternative would have been to expose the leak through the shower pan by breaking open a hole in the floor of the shower.  In addition to the cost incurred to repair the leak, the shower pan would have had to be replaced and the shower retiled.  By using the ePipe method, the leak was repaired in place with only two small holes made in the drywall to access the leaking pipe to effect the ePipe process.  Not only was the leak repaired, but the entire line was coated with epoxy which will prevent any future leaks.

Leak Detection Specialist finds leak at local hospital’s birthing ward

Saturday, June 20th, 2009

Bill Peterson recently helped women in labor. A major local hospital was experiencing water appearing on a floor that was devoted to insuring the safe delivery of newborns. Given the conditions, it was necessary for the birthing ward to be closed and the “soon to be mothers” relocated to other floors. Using American Leak Detection’s high-tech equipment and two decades of personal experience, American Leak Detection located the source of the water so repairs could immediately be made. This allowed hospital officials to put the birthing ward back in the business of delivering and caring for new babies and mothers as soon as possible. Bill Peterson is the co-owner of the American Leak Detection office serving Palm Beach, Martin & St. Lucie Counties. For more information

Is my pool leaking?

Saturday, June 20th, 2009

This is a question we hear everyday.  One of the best ways to determine if you have a leak or just normal evaporation is to perform a “bucket test”.  This is a simple and fairly accurate way to make this determination.  Remember that this is designed to be completed in 24 hours and will be disrupted by rain.  The following link will send you to our site and describe the proper way to complete the test.

How do I know if my pool is leaking?

Saturday, June 20th, 2009

On the average, one pool out of every twenty pools have a leak. If you are losing 1/4 inch of water per day then you probably have a leak. To be 100%, we recomend that you go to American Leak Detection.com and see how to do a bucket test.

If you have a commercial/public pool, then check the autofill to see if it is running all the time. This will usually indicate a leak. You also may want to shut the autofill off for a 24 hour period and see how much the water level has gone down. If it has fallen more than 1/4 of an inch then the pool is probably leaking.

What is the evaporation rate?

Saturday, June 20th, 2009

The rate of evaporation is dependant on many factors and each pool is different depending upon the variables.  The easiest and quickest way to check your pool is to perform an evaporatoin test.

To find how to do this check this link: http://www.americanleakdetection.com/tips-bucket-test.php

American Leak Detection in Hillsborough has joined a brand new BNI group.

Saturday, June 20th, 2009

Have you been looking for a way to increase your business?  There is no better way than word-of-mouth.

I wanted to invite you to the “hottest networking event” in town:  The KICK-OFF meeting of the Network Referral Group chapter of Business Network Int’l (BNI) at:

Hilton Garden Inn

4052 Tampa Road

Oldsmar, FL 34677

June 25th at 7:30 a.m.

Tom Fleming and Clay Caire of Business Network International will be sharing the secrets to success through “word-of-mouth” marketing and BNI during this meeting.

BNI is a business and professional networking organization whose philosophy is “Givers Gain” and its purpose is to exchange qualified business referrals that turn into new customers and clients amongst members.  It is the most successful organization of its type with over 5291 Chapters in 40 different countries.  Last year, BNI members passed over 5.6 Million referrals to one another which generated more than $2.3 Billion worth of business for its members!  If you would like to learn more about BNI before committing to attend, please review the international site at www.BNI.com.

BNI is unique because they only allow one person per profession to join a chapter.  Thus, once you’ve joined, there is no conflict in passing referrals, and you have eliminated your competition.  I have recently become a member an am exited about the business opportunities this system will create for me.

Seating is limited, so please let me know if you would like to attend; call me at 727-504-8837 and I will reserve a seat for you.  The cost of the breakfast is $10.00.  Please bring plenty of business cards to pass around as you will meet many local business people!

Sincerely,

Jackie Almeida

P.S.  Please bring a business associate who may be interested in finding out how to generate more business through word of mouth.  This organization is exciting.  In fact, I just heard that Tony Robbins says, “One referral is equal to 15 cold calls”.
