Amerian Leak Detection Partners With Water Agency To Help Prevent Wasteful Water Leaks

California Water Accountability Needs Motivates American Leak Detection To Participate in Statewide Seminars

Palm Springs, California (March 18, 2008) - California water accountability efforts are in high gear. To assist the state on water leak survey, water conservation and prevention methods, Palm Springs based American Leak Detection (ALD) has teamed with the California Rural Water Association to promote and educate rural water districts.

American Leak Detection, high-tech specialists in non-invasive leak location, is participating in the free training seminars throughout the state. Titled, “Introduction to Water Accountability and Leak Detection,” the seminars are sponsored by the California Rural Water Association and the California Department of Water Resources.

“These seminars are essential for water districts to be trained on the most progressive methods available for rural water and wastewater systems,” says Dustin Hardwick, Director of Resource Development. “American Leak Detection adds a valuable field experience component to the sessions and we’re pleased to have their contribution for our water education process.”

ALD leak specialist Jimmy Carter assists CRWA instructor Michael Sims in the seminars which cover preliminary survey methods, zone measurements, pinpointing leaks, and estimating leaks. The presentations also include interactive discussions, various aspects of leak detection equipment and demonstrations, and sonic leak detection.

“Our work with the California Rural Water Association is an extension of our commitment to the environment and specifically water conservation,” says Stan Berenbaum, CEO of American Leak Detection. “Our non-invasive leak detection methods are a valuable tool, especially as water becomes more precious, and we’re dedicated to helping the proactive effort to limit unaccountable water loss.”

Founded 34 years ago, American Leak Detection operates a network of highly trained leak specialists in eight countries who specialize in the accurate, non-destructive detection of hidden water, sewer and other leaks. Using proprietary equipment and methods, leaks are located without destroying walls or digging holes thereby avoiding unnecessary property and other damage.
