Customer Testimonials
First, let me say that I am of the population that wishes to NEVER have the need to contact a company such as yours to fix a problem. The "leak detection" scenario just outright frightens me. Maybe the fear is so strong because I view leaks as the "silent, unseen destroyer"! You rarely know that they are there, but when you find them they have destroyed whatever is in their path! Here is my situation:
I felt there had been too much water evaporating from my in-ground swimming pool. I did some research on my own and found that I could perform a "bucket test" to generally measure the rate of water evaporation from my pool. This didn't seem too reassuring to me to locate a leak, but after realizing that there seemed to be a more than "allowable" amount of evaporation occurring, I was encouraged by Bell Pool & Spa to contact the American Leak Detection Company. I dreaded the suggestion, but decided to face my fears and made the call a few days later.
I first spoke to Linda, who knew from my many questions that I wanted her to tell me that American Leak Detection services were really not needed. I was extremely inquisitive about everything. Linda could obviously hear that I was uncomfortable and made sure to ask me thought provoking questions about my situation that helped me to determine that I had actually done everything that I could do to determine if there was an actual leak short of digging up pipes all around my yard. She helped me to understand the importance of setting up an appointment to allow American Leak Detection the opportunity to locate the leak before it grew worse - which I did with reluctance.
On May 27, I met with Noel from American Leak Detection, to determine if there was an actual leak in my swimming pool. At first I was shocked that American Leak Detection would send someone who looked too young to have enough experience to assure me that he could determine that I did or did not have a leak in my swimming pool! Again, I was apprehensive.
To my astonishment and before he physically did anything, Noel listened intently to my concerns and helped me realize that I had done everything that I could possibly to determine that there was an actual leak. Then he assured me that I was doing the right thing by having American Leak Detection locate where the leak may be and told me in detail what I should expect from his inspection and report. In his brief conversation with me, I could tell he was an expert in this field. Noel's knowledge and explanation of leak detection actually amazed me! He told me exactly what he would be doing to ensure a thorough inspection of my pool to find not just one but all of the leaks I may be experiencing. He was extremely thorough and was able to locate the first and only leak within 30 minutes. He continued to search for other leaks by isolating the one that he had already found, but was able to determine there was only one leak!
I received a report within a week that told me precisely how much water I was losing on a daily basis versus how much water I should expect to lose due to simple evaporation (along with an estimate of what would be required to repair the leak.)
Although you may look at their individual actions as typical of all of your employees and my description of both Linda and Noel's conversations and actions may seem quite brief, but you should be aware that each of them has demonstrated the ability to perform an extremely important customer service to establish trust, listen well and be responsive. I know that many people do not have the ability to establish a trusting bond so quickly. Both of these employees played a particualarly important role when I was making a decision to trust someone to come to my home to locate and eventually fix this problem occurring with my swimming pool. I was so very impressed with their caring nature and their ability to be sensitive to my fears that I did not even question who would be the company to perform the repairs. Both of them were clear to explain what I should expect from them and gave me the added assurance that American Leak Detection would do the job right. They told me what to expect from each of them and followed through leaving no room for unexpected surprises.
I must thank you for employing such trustworthy employees. Both Linda and Noel are two extremely valuable employees working for you that justly deserve recognition for their ability to clearly establish a trusting relationship with you customers who in turn actually become customers for life. I doubt I will ever call another leak detection company for any 'repairs' that I am forced to correct.
I do hope that you will take the time to recognize both of them for a job well done!
Sincerely,
Richard
