American Leak Detection and Plain Sight Systems

Leading the Way in Conserving Water, Our Most Precious Resource

Conserving our most precious resource

Water is our planet’s most precious resource. Yet, each day, 6 billion gallons of clean, treatable drinking water is wasted throughout the world due to crumbling infrastructure. Currently, $40 billion is being spent annually in an effort to locate and remediate water, sewer and pipe leaks. In the U.S. alone, the Environmental Protection Agency estimates that over the next 20 years, $400 billion will be needed to repair, replace and upgrade America’s water systems.

Along with our parent, Plain Sight Systems, our objective is to help conserve our most precious resource by capitalizing on this demand and offering scalable market solutions. Indeed, Plain Sight’s intellectual property portfolio includes a unique combination of spectroscopy and information extraction from digital data, which together have applicability for both water management and real-time water chemistry pipe monitoring.

Since 2006, Plain Sight has grown American Leak Detection revenue and earnings by

  • introducing more efficient management practices;
  • introducing new technology products, such as Internet lead generation and LeakVue; and
  • expanding American Leak Detection’s franchise and corporate unit development in the U.S. and the world.
We anticipate continuing our efforts in each of these areas over the course of 2007 and beyond. Doing so will help us realize our vision of conserving water, our most precious resource, as well as being the world’s leading environmental provider of non-invasive leak detection products and services.
