Vern McCollough President
Vern McCollough is the owner of American Leak Detection serving Eastern Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri. He established the Eastern Oklahoma franchise in 1999 and has since expanded operations to include the Kansas and Missouri territories, building one of the region’s most trusted leak detection companies.
Born in Hobbs, New Mexico, Vern proudly served in the United States Navy before earning his degree from Oklahoma State University. Following graduation, he worked as an engineer in California, where he also began raising his family.
Driven by a desire to create a better balance between his professional and family life, Vern purchased the American Leak Detection franchise in Eastern Oklahoma. Through his leadership, dedication to customer service, and commitment to technical excellence, the business has grown steadily over the years while maintaining its family-owned values.
Today, Vern remains actively involved in the company alongside four of his six children who work within the organization. He is also the proud grandfather of eleven grandchildren. His commitment to family, integrity, and exceptional service continues to shape the culture and success of American Leak Detection throughout Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri.

Zane McCollough Chief Operating Officer
Zane McCollough has been a dedicated memberof the American Leak Detection team since 2017. Beginning his career as a helper, he quickly advanced into a technician role, demonstrating a strong work ethic, technical expertise, and commitment to excellence. After earning his Oklahoma Plumbing Contractor License, Zane transitioned into leadership as General Manager and later advanced to chief Operating Officer.
Throughout his career, Zane has remained focused on one core mission: delivering the best customer experience in the industry. His passion for serving customers, supporting team member, and continuously improving operations reflects the values that are at the heart of American Leak Detection.

Trace McCollough Office Manager
Trace McCollough serves as the Marketing and Fleet Manager for American Leak Detection of Eastern Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri. Since joining the company in 2021, he has been instrumental in strengthening the company’s brand presence, supporting strategic growth initiatives, and overseeing fleet operations to ensure the organization continues to operate efficiently and effectively.
A graduate of Oklahoma State University, Trace brings a well-rounded perspective to his role. In addition to leading marketing efforts, he has spent time working alongside technicians in the field, gaining valuable firsthand knowledge of the company’s services, operational processes, and commitment to customer satisfaction.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and their pets, staying active through basketball, practicing the art of juggling, and following the world of Formula 1 racing.

Zoe McCollough Human Resources Manager
Zoe McCollough serves as the Human Resources Manager for American Leak Detection of Eastern Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri, overseeing employee relations, talent development, benefits administration, and day-to-day human resources operations.
Since joining the company in 2017, she has worked in nearly every area of the business throughout her career, Zoe brings a unique perspective and deep understanding of the company’s operations. Her hands-on experience across multiple departments allows her to effectively support team members at every level and contribute to the continued growth and success of the organization.
Zoe is passionate about developing strong teams, creating a positive employee experience, and ensuring the company’s family-oriented values remain at the heart of its culture. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and two dogs, traveling, and pursuing her passion for photography. She is also deeply committed to serving her community and actively supports several nonprofit organizations, including the Oklahoma Parkinson’s Alliance, Tulsa Girls Home, Emerge Global, the Oklahoma Blood Institute, and the Tulsa Day Center.
