Vern McCollough is the owner of American Leak Detection serving Eastern Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri. He established the Eastern Oklahoma franchise in 1999 and has since expanded operations to include the Kansas and Missouri territories, building one of the region’s most trusted leak detection companies.

Born in Hobbs, New Mexico, Vern proudly served in the United States Navy before earning his degree from Oklahoma State University. Following graduation, he worked as an engineer in California, where he also began raising his family.

Driven by a desire to create a better balance between his professional and family life, Vern purchased the American Leak Detection franchise in Eastern Oklahoma. Through his leadership, dedication to customer service, and commitment to technical excellence, the business has grown steadily over the years while maintaining its family-owned values.

Today, Vern remains actively involved in the company alongside four of his six children who work within the organization. He is also the proud grandfather of eleven grandchildren. His commitment to family, integrity, and exceptional service continues to shape the culture and success of American Leak Detection throughout Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri.

Trace McCollough serves as the Marketing and Fleet Manager for American Leak Detection of Eastern Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri. Since joining the company in 2021, he has been instrumental in strengthening the company’s brand presence, supporting strategic growth initiatives, and overseeing fleet operations to ensure the organization continues to operate efficiently and effectively.

A graduate of Oklahoma State University, Trace brings a well-rounded perspective to his role. In addition to leading marketing efforts, he has spent time working alongside technicians in the field, gaining valuable firsthand knowledge of the company’s services, operational processes, and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and their pets, staying active through basketball, practicing the art of juggling, and following the world of Formula 1 racing.

Zoe McCollough serves as the Human Resources Manager for American Leak Detection of Eastern Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri, overseeing employee relations, talent development, benefits administration, and day-to-day human resources operations.

Since joining the company in 2017, she has worked in nearly every area of the business throughout her career, Zoe brings a unique perspective and deep understanding of the company’s operations. Her hands-on experience across multiple departments allows her to effectively support team members at every level and contribute to the continued growth and success of the organization.

Zoe is passionate about developing strong teams, creating a positive employee experience, and ensuring the company’s family-oriented values remain at the heart of its culture. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and two dogs, traveling, and pursuing her passion for photography.

Gabe Parks serves as the Eastern Oklahoma Regional Field Supervisor for American Leak Detection and has been a key member of the team since 2017. With extensive experience in both plumbing and leak detection, Gabe has built a reputation for his technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to delivering exceptional service. His years in the industry have equipped him with the knowledge and skills to confidently manage even the most complex leak detection and plumbing challenges.

As a licensed plumber and certified diver, Gabe brings a unique combination of qualifications that allows him to excel in a wide range of residential, commercial, and specialty leak detection applications.

In addition to his technical credentials, Gabe is an ordained minister and is deeply committed to serving both his community and his family. He and his girlfriend are proud parents of three children, and family remains at the center of his life. When he is not working or spending time with his family, Gabe enjoys playing the guitar and pursuing his passion for music.

Kris Matranga serves as the Dispatch Supervisor at American Leak Detection and has been with the company since 2023. Kris is known for his ability to manage fast-paced environments, solve problems efficiently, and support both customers and field teams with consistency and care.

Originally from California, Kris attended Santa Ana College and brings a unique professional background that includes several years of customer service training and experience with The Walt Disney Company at Disneyland.

Outside of work, Kris is a devoted husband and father of three daughters. He also has three dogs and is actively involved in supporting the ASPCA. In his free time, Kris enjoys sharing his many hidden talents, including magic, which reflects his creativity and engaging personality.

Shelby Hampton has been a dedicated member of American Leak Detection since 2001 and currently serves as a Senior Leak Detection Specialist and Plumber. With over 20 years of experience in the plumbing and leak detection industry, Shelby brings a comprehensive skill set and deep technical knowledge that allows him to confidently manage all aspects of complex plumbing and leak detection work.

He attended both the University of Central Oklahoma and Rogers State University. Throughout his long tenure with the company, Shelby has built a strong reputation for reliability, craftsmanship, and exceptional problem-solving ability.

Shelby is married and the proud parent of one daughter, along with three pets. Outside of work, he is an accomplished guitarist who enjoys performing with his band, as well as woodworking—pursuits that reflect his creativity, precision, and dedication to his craft.

Colby Young is a highly skilled Leak Detection Specialist who has been with American Leak Detection since 2019. With years of hands-on experience in the field, he brings a strong technical background and the ability to confidently handle a wide range of job situations.

Colby is known for his professionalism, adaptability, and dedication to delivering accurate and efficient solutions for customers.

Outside of work, he is married and the proud father of one daughter. He also has one dog, two snakes, and a fish. Colby is actively involved with local animal rescue organizations as well as the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, reflecting his strong commitment to supporting both animal welfare and mental health awareness in his community
