Peninsula North Bay Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of our website and the services provided by Norfin Incorporated, doing business as American Leak Detection. By using our website, requesting an estimate, or accepting services from us, you agree to these terms.

2. Estimates Estimates we provide are based on the information available to us at the time, usually gathered by phone before we visit the property. Because leaks are concealed by nature, the scope and cost of the work can change once we are on site and can see what we are dealing with. 

  • An estimate is not a fixed-price quote and does not become binding until you accept it in writing and we confirm the work. 
  • Conditions discovered on site - line length, depth, access, materials, or a second leak may change the price. We will tell you before performing work beyond what you approved. 
  • Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued. 

3. Scheduling and property access Appointments are scheduled within an arrival window rather than at an exact time, since the duration of leak detection work is difficult to predict. We will keep you updated as the day progresses. 

  • You are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the property, including gates, crawl spaces, equipment rooms, and shut-off valves. 
  • If we cannot access the property at the scheduled time, a trip charge of $250 may apply. 
  • Please tell us about pets, alarm systems, hazardous conditions, or anything else our technician should know before arriving. 

4. Payment

  • Payment is due upon receipt of service unless other arrangements have been made in writing. 
  • We accept Check, Cash, Visa, Mastercard and Discover. Card payments are processed by our payment provider. 
  • Accounts past due by more than 30 days may be subject to a late fee of 21% apr, to the extent permitted by law. 
  • Where an insurer or third party is expected to pay, the property owner or party engaging us remains responsible for the balance unless we agree otherwise in writing. 

5. Cancellation Please give us at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations inside that window may be subject to a fee of $100. 

6. Warranty and limitations Leak detections are guaranteed for 30 days. Minor repairs less than $600 are guaranteed for 30 days. All repairs more than $600 are guaranteed for 2 years unless the pipe that is being repaired is in an advanced state of deterioration, subject to the terms of your invoice.  Leak detection is an inspection service. While we use professional equipment and methods, we cannot guarantee that every leak on a property will be located, or that no further leaks will develop. Detection work may require access to concealed areas, and some restoration of surfaces may be required and is not included unless stated in your estimate.  To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability arising out of the services is limited to the amount you paid us for the services in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. 

7. Text messaging terms

7.1 Program name The messaging program is operated by Norfin Incorporated d/b/a American Leak Detection. 

7.2 Program description By providing your mobile number and opting in, you consent to receive text messages from us relating to your service. These include appointment confirmations and reminders, technician dispatch and arrival notices, estimates, invoices, payment links and receipts, service follow-ups, and replies to questions you send us. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from us. 

7.3 Message frequency Message frequency varies and depends on the work in progress at your property. 

7.4 Message and data rates Message and data rates may apply. Charges are set by your mobile carrier and are your responsibility. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. 

7.5 How to opt out Reply STOP to any message at any time to stop receiving text messages from us. You will receive one message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, after which we will send no further texts. You can opt back in at any time by replying START or by contacting us. Opting out of text messages does not remove you from email or phone contact relating to work in progress.

7.7 Supported carriers Messaging is supported on major US carriers. Delivery is not guaranteed and may be affected by carrier or network conditions. 

7.8 Privacy How we handle the information you send us by text is described in our Privacy Policy at https://www.americanleakdetection.com/peninsula-north-bay/privacy-policy/. No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. 

8. Website use The content on our website is owned by us or our licensors and is provided for information only. You may not copy, reproduce, or use it commercially without our permission. We may change or remove content at any time. 

9. Governing law These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
