To start off if you have a leak and don’t know where it is then this is the business for you. This unfortunately was my second water leak under my slab and I had no clue where it was? My first one was loud and we could hear it through the floor, the second one could be heard in the walls at the other end of the house so after a lot of work cutting out the floor and capping the cold water line the sound quit and I thought I stopped the leak. I turned the water on and checked the meter and it was still running, I almost cried after seeing that. I called American Leak Detection the next morning after taking the day off hoping to get them out to help me. They made an extra effort to get to my home while I was off to help me out and they made it. Seth and Troy found my leak in 35 minutes and said we have to say it’s within 36” of the mark on the floor. When I cut the floor out and dug out the wet soil it was within an inch of where they marked the floor. This is a great company and I highly recommend them. Unlike the plumbing companies that all they want to do is sell me a whole house plumbing job for 15,000 dollars. I was able to fix it myself for less than a $100. after getting a $700 water bill i called ALD. seth was prompt and professional. he was also thorough - he found two significant leaks in my irrigation system. while the service was pricey i think it was well worth it, both from a cost-benefit standpoint and because it's unethical to waste water in tucson. i would call them again if i needed to do so.

Having recently purchased a Tucson home and still living in PA, I was at a loss when I received a water bill for almost $900 for 28 days and the house is empty. My home watch service, Dave Arellano, recommended this company so I called. I spoke with Seth Tanner who immediately put me on their schedule. He and Dave worked together to determine the cause of the leak which saved a service visit. After calling two local plumbers with zero success, I decided to seek help in Tucson (100 miles away). Seth came out and within a short time found the leak. He used all types of sophisticated equipment and it was obvious that he was very skilled in leak detection. Initially I was hesitant to contract with a company I was unfamiliar with, but their office customer support person, Anna, was the convincing factor. Great Service! The company was at the house within one hour of our call. We could hear water flowing, saw no sign of leaks, but the water meter (a modern ERT meter) was recording flow of 0.16 gallons per minute. Seth, a former US Marine, was totally professional in every way. During his 2 hour visit he confirmed the leak existed, mapped the underground and in-wall plumbing, and marked an "X" with pink flourescent tape inside the master bedroom. He predicted it was a pinhole leak located 12" deep. After our plumbing contractor (Racy's Plumbing) jackhammered through the foundation at the pink "X", he found the pinhole leak at 12" deep, within one foot of the pink "X". The pipe location was spot on. The accuracy was pretty remarkable for something that was totally invisible from the surface. The survey cost $375 and was definitely worth it to prevent the possibility of structural damage and/or termites to the house. Their service was perfect. The company's Tucson office is a family operation with brothers Seth and Luke, and their father Mark Tanner. Use these pros and you'll also be supporting a three-generation family of US Marines.
