Leak Detection in Cumming, GA
Non-Invasive Leak Detection for Forsyth County Homes & Businesses
American Leak Detection brings proprietary detection technology and the national brand’s over 50 years of experience as The Original Leak Specialist™ to Cumming, GA. We locate hidden leaks in pressurized plumbing, slab lines, walls, and underground systems without tearing apart your property. That’s the commitment behind Leak Detection Without Destruction™, and it’s what sets our approach apart from general plumbing detection methods.
Hidden leaks don’t announce themselves. They can go undetected for weeks or months while water quietly damages structural materials, promotes mold growth, and drives up your water bill. The faster a leak is located, the smaller the repair scope can be.
If you’ve noticed unexplained moisture, a spike in water costs, or any other sign of a hidden leak, call American Leak Detection today at (866) 701-5306 or request service online. The sooner we locate it, the less damage it can do.
Leak Types We Detect in Cumming
Leaks show up in different systems and for different reasons. Our team is trained to locate them all.
Slab Leaks
Supply or drain lines running beneath a concrete foundation can develop breaks that go unnoticed until flooring shows moisture damage or water bills spike. Slab foundations are common throughout Forsyth County, and slab leak detection requires equipment and technique that general plumbing tools can’t match.
Wall & Pressurized Plumbing Leaks
Supply line failures, joint failures, and pinhole corrosion inside walls can release water into framing and insulation before any surface sign appears. We identify the exact location before any access work begins.
Underground Pipe Leaks
A break in the underground line between the meter and your structure can waste significant water volume with no visible surface sign. We locate underground leaks precisely, which can limit excavation to the confirmed problem point.
Drain & Sewer Leaks
Drain and sewer leaks require different detection methods than pressurized line leaks. Left unaddressed, they can cause soil erosion and contamination beneath the property.
Proprietary Technology That Finds Leaks Without Destruction
The national company developed its own proprietary detection technology because nothing commercially available could locate leaks accurately without causing property damage. Our technicians use acoustic detection, electronic amplification, and other advanced methods refined to work across the pipe types and system configurations found in real residential and commercial properties.
Traditional approaches often require opening walls, breaking concrete, or digging to locate a leak by process of elimination. Our approach works in reverse: we pinpoint the leak first, then limit any access work to that confirmed location. Every technician completes a rigorous training program before working in the field, and the national company continuously researches and develops new detection methods. The tools and techniques our Cumming team uses reflect the current standard for accuracy in the industry.
What Cumming Property Owners Can Expect
We arrive on time, complete the work within the agreed time frame, and leave the property clean. Before any work begins, we provide honest, upfront pricing through our “Know Before You Go” approach so there are no surprises when the job is done. We treat your property with the same care we’d expect for our own.
Accurate detection also can limit the total cost of a leak event. When the repair contractor knows exactly where to work, there’s no speculative demolition and no unnecessary disruption to the rest of the property.
Residential & Commercial Leak Detection Serving Cumming and Forsyth County
We serve both homeowners and commercial property operators throughout the greater Cumming area and Forsyth County. Residential clients typically need detection in slab foundations, interior walls, and underground supply lines. Commercial clients often deal with larger pressurized systems or multi-unit infrastructure where pinpointing a leak quickly is especially cost-critical.
Forsyth County is among the fastest-growing counties in the United States. That growth means new construction and established properties exist side by side, and the leak detection needs of each can differ significantly. Our team handles both.

“I had an awful rotten egg smell as soon as I bought our house. After calling two plumbers (who charged me a fee to tell me nothing was wrong), the Gas Company (no gas leak), and the Public Works Department, I finally called American Leak Detection. They came in, investigated with smoke, and fixed the problem. For the first time in two months, my house doesn't smell like a restaurant toilet. Highly recommend them!”- Sandi T.

“I can't say enough good things about their service! We had a slab leak that flooded the master bedroom and they came as quickly as they could and then rearranged their work schedule so the repair could be made and we could once again have water turned on. The workmen were professional and efficient. I hope I never have to use that kind of service again but if so, they are he best.”- Carolyn R.

“Tree roots had cracked my filter pipes and I was losing water badly. I was referred to American Leak Detection and set up an appointment. Daniel came out and did his best to diagnose the problem. He got very strange results and it was hard to determine the exact pipe(s) that were cracked but since I'd had a similar repair done 6 years ago and we could see evidence of the tree root damage from above, I felt confident we knew were the issue was and I contracted for the work. I was pleasantly surprised to see Daniel return to perform the work. I arranged to be home that day so I could see what he found. I supposed I hovered, taking pictures of the process, asking questions as he went along. He never got annoyed and answered every question with a smile. I don't think i ever saw anyone work harder. It was obvious from that start he had a lot of experience and knew what he was doing. Digging out the area had to be done mostly by hand which he did efficiently without complaints. He found multiple pipes cracked which explained the odd results during diagnosis. The job took longer than expected because it was difficult work and he ran out of daylight but on the job until he it wasn't possible anymore that day. Even though he was fully booked for the following day, his company rearranged his schedule so he could return the following afternoon. I returned home early from work and was able to see him complete the job. He even patched the deck with new concrete like an artisan, taking every care to make it as smooth and neat as possible. After 30 years in this house, we have had many service people come to do work. No one has ever delivered better than Daniel. He was competent, diligent, and pleasant. The cost wasn't cheap but it was fair. I don't mind at all paying for quality service.”- String R.
